Coral Oasis

CO1

I picked up this pretty little quad the other weekend and wanted to do a look with it. I love corals in summer it makes me think of the beach and I like that the colors compliment my red hair 🙂

CO2

I first started by priming my eyes. I always use benefit stay don’t stray primer along with my mac paint pot in painterly. On top of that I just used a matte salmon pink color .

CO3

After that I used the orange coral shade on the outer portion of my eyelid and blended it towards the center. With a stiff brush I picked up the color and swept out the outer corner slightly past my eye and with a pencil brush I took the color under my lower lash line stopping halfway.

CO4

Then I took the darkest color with a fluffy brush and pushed it into my crease. I also packed a little in the outer corner and blended it then took the pencil brush again under my lower lash line right on top of the other color.

CO6

Here I put a matte pale yellow lining around my tear duct meeting the coral shade in the center on my lower lash line then packed a shimmery pale gold on top of that. I used the matte yellow shade as the highlight on my brow bone and blended it with the other colors to take out any excess darkness and soften harsh lines. I also patted a small amount of the shimmery gold shade right in the center of my eyelid and blended.

CO7

Now just add your mascara and eyeliner and you’re done 🙂 If you would like to see how I do my eyeliner like this in depth I have a tutorial of that on here. For my cheeks I used Maybelline bouncy blush in peach satin. I usually use benefit high beam for my highlight but today I used benefit sunbeam to give my face a little more warmth and on my lips I’m wearing mac cream sheen lipstick in sunny Seoul. The three eyeshadows I used not from this palette are from my Ariel storylook palette which I will do a tutorial using it very soon and those are the two matte shades and the pale shimmery gold. My mascara is a combination of Maybelline the falsies and benefit bad gal lash.

Make-Up Favorites

For today’s post I wanted to put together all of my favorite products. Britney and I usually do eye makeup tutorials but don’t really show what we use on a daily basis. I work full time in an office and I have to look appropriate and I’m not a morning person at all so I like an easy routine for my daily work makeup so everything I’m showing you is work friendly and really great products I highly recommend.

1.L’oreal Magic Beautifier BB Cream in Light

w1

This is my favorite BB cream and since I have fair skin I use the light. I’ve tried other BB creams like the Stila HD beauty balm and one by smashbox but I wasn’t very impressed and was irritated because they were very expensive. This one goes on white and as you rub it in to your skin it changes to skin tone. I use this everyday I have combination oily/dry skin and on my dry spots this is great for flaky skin it feels as though it’s also exfoliating when you put it on. The only complaint I have is that it comes in such a small tube but it’s very good for the price.

2.Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow in Petal

w12

I love this foundation! I was using Mac face and body I can’t remember the shade of it but I need something with a little more coverage and this is perfect. It goes on so smooth and stays put all day long. I usually have shine peek through half way through the day had much less after using this foundation. I’m not saying that will happen for everyone but it works very well for me. It is pricy but I feel worth it. Overall very good quality.

3.Mac Creamblend Blush in So Sweet So Easy

w11

If you’re looking for that perfect dolly pink blush this is it. Most blush that I have tried either has too much of a red tone or it’s too baby pink that it doesn’t show up very well but this is wonderful on my skin.

4.Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NW20

dksjflkas

My go to concealer everyday it has really great coverage.

5.Hard Candy Lite Bright Whipped Brightening Concealer in Medium

w10

This is perfect for dark circles under eyes and just brightening up your face for a fresh faced look.

6.Benefit High Beam

w3

Best illuminating highlighter I’ve tried. For a while I didn’t like liquid highlighters because I felt it smudged my makeup underneath when applying it but this doesn’t. It goes on perfectly a creates a beautiful glow.

7.Benefit Hoola Bronzer

w2

I use this for contouring my face I like that it’s matte so you don’t have added shimmer where you don’t want it. It’s very universal and works well with my fair skin.

8.Elf Brow Kit in Medium

w9

I use this kit everyday it’s lasted me a long time and is a very good product and is so cheap. It comes with a good little brush I mainly just use the gel when I’m in a hurry but the powder is very nice too.

9.Nyx Wonder Pencil

w6

If you’ve seen any of my tutorials you know I use this on my lower water line. It looks more natural as opposed to using a white eyeliner. It makes your eyes look wide and bright and you look well rested.

10.Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

w8

This is so great for work because it looks so natural. I had been looking for good matte eyeshadows and was so happy when Urban Decay came out with this palette. You can create so many looks with it like a bright eyed day look to a night smokey eye.

11.Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black

w4

My first experience with gel liner. I used to only use liquid but I always have a cat eye and have heard that gel is the best for it. I didn’t care for the brush it came with it’s a little too big to create thin lines but the gel is very good and perfect color black.

12.Maybelline Falsies Mascara

w5

I love how long and full my lashes look with this mascara and it’s fairly cheap. My only complaint is that it dries out rather quickly.

13.Mac Lipstick in Peach Blossom

w7

Last is lipstick. This wasn’t the shade I was expecting I had bought it online but I really love it. The feel of it is nice and the color is a pretty nude rose color.

Well those are my favorite products at the moment thank you as always for reading 🙂

Where All My Bad Girls At?

cl11

Hello to all my bad girls out there it’s Kelly with this weeks makeup monday. If you haven’t guessed already today I’m doing a CL from 2ne1 inspired look. I watched her latest mv The Baddest Female and just loved her eye makeup and the way her hair was styled in the scene with the cars and you can see GDragon, Youngbae and Teddy. This look is quite different than hers I really wanted to play up some colors. I didn’t do a tutorial for the hair but don’t worry here is a video of Martina doing her hair the same way. Surprisingly she did this video months ago maybe CL watches EYK though they did criticize the video a lot it’s the only time I haven’t agreed with Simon and Martina still love them though 🙂

What I did different is I put my hair in high pig tails then rolled them under.

dkfjlds

Please excuse the allergy eyes it’s pretty much summer in florida lol. I started with benefit stay don’t stray eye primer and used my mac paint pot in painterly on top of that. I do that because my veins under my brow bone can be pretty visible with my fair skin and I just used a white matte eyeshadow on my lid.

cl2

Here I’ve just put a pale matte salmon color over the white.

cl4

I was forgetting to take the pictures (bows head) sorry so this is a few steps. On the outer portion of the eyelid meeting about in the center I used a hot pink shade and just patted it on with a stiff brush blending it after then I used a dark purple color on my crease extending out past the eye and up towards the brow bone. Then on the inner corner and my brow bone I used a soft shimmery beige color.

cl5

I noticed CL had a second small wing on her lower lash line here I am using a small eyeliner brush I used the same dark purple and lined up under my lashes about a third of the way then created a wing going downward.

cl6

Here I’ve used a white eyeliner on my lower water line and a black gel liner along my upper lash line extending slightly past in the inner corner and keeping it as thin as possible.

cl7

Now just create a flick going upwards. I like to look at my lower water line and use that as my guide.

cl8

Make a line connecting the tip to about the center of the eye making a straight diagonal line.

cl9

Now fill it in and line your water line a third of the way.

cl 10

Add mascara and you’re done! CL had some blues and yellows to her shadows but I really wanted to work with pinks and purple plus it matched my bandana. Work with what you’ve got right lol. Also Britney and I both have green eyes mine are dark and hers are light but pinks go really well with green eyes. I just loved her new single and the video as well. It’s received some negative criticism but I absolutely loved it she’s so beautiful and just gets prettier and prettier. She’s such a strong young woman and someone to definitely look up to. Thank you for reading I’ll list all the products below. Have fun with you’re makeup and like I’ve said before just enjoy being a girl and do the unnie 🙂

Zero-Worry Make Up: Estee Lauder’s Double Wear

Instead of a tutorial, I thought I would go the review route.  🙂  We don’t do that too often actually.

The subject? Estee Lauder’s Double Wear products. While I haven’t had experience with all the products, I wear their Double Wear Liquid Foundation and Double Wear Liquid liner. Both are excellent.

Image

If you are seeking a foundation with good coverage and that will stay on no matter the oiliness of your skin, sweat, and even swimming, then this is definitely something you might like. The foundation is smooth and doesn’t cake into cracks or wrinkles which is great. Of course, it’s most promising feature is how long lasting it is. You could literally put this on before a day of swimming or camping and you’re good. No need to reapply or worry. The only con is that if you have dry skin, you wont want this foundation. It will dry it out further. I, on the other-hand, have oily skin and this is the perfect foundation to keep my oiliness in check. However, this stuff lasts! It retails for $36.00, and comes in plenty of shades. It’s definitely worth it!

PS: If you don’t need or want full coverage, then there is also a Light Double Wear Foundation that is equally great. It stays in place just as well.

The second product that I’ve used is the Double Wear Liquid Liner.

Image

This felt tip eyeliner is amazing. Talk about zero-smudge! They’re not kidding, ladies. I’ve had my brown D.W. liner for just about two years now and it’s still good. You can literally sleep in this eyeliner and chances are, it’ll still be in place the next day. In fact, the foundation and the liner are pretty much the ultimate duo if you don’t want to have to worry about your make-up! It comes in black and brown, and retails for $23.00. If you want a great liquid liner that wont smudge on you, go get this one!

Anyone wear Estee Lauder? It’s not just for old ladies, haha.

Flower Garden Eyes (Make-Up Tutorial)

Today is Make-Up Monday! 🙂 I decided that I wanted to do a flower/garden type look with rose colors and greens. I sort of experimented the whole way through so forgive me if some steps include a little more.

Step 1

I put on foundation, powder, and blush before.

First step is applying an eye shadow base. I use Urban Decay‘s.

Step 2

Image

Apply a light lavender or pink to the inside corners of your eyes and beneath your brows.

Step 3

Image

Apply light green to your eyelid.

Step 4

Image

Blend a light golden brown and dark golden brown above the green.

Step 5

Image

At the outside corner of your eye on your eyelid, I blended in a dark green. Right above that I blended in a dark purple.

Step 6

Image

Apply orange in between the dark purple and the lavender for a pop of color.

Step 7

step8bottomliner

Take a fine tipped brush and apply your eye shadow base to your bottom lid. Clean the brush. Take that brush and apply dark purple from your tear duct to just past the circle of your eye. From there, apply dark green to the outer corner. I chose to go further to create a green wing of shadow.

Step 8

step9topliner

I wanted more color so I applied a medium purple in between the orange and the dark purple to blend it better and show more purple. I also drew a thin line of dark brown liquid liner across the top eyelid and arched it at the end for a small wing.

Step 9

step11finalmakeup

Add Mascara!

I hope you like it!

I decided to play it up some more by curling my hair in tight coils, adding lipstick, and a very cute rosy pink dress I bought at Ross.

The gallery below has the pictures that I took after!

Fairy Tales and Mermaid Scales

Mer 5
Hello everyone it’s Kelly and I’m proud to introduce to you all our first Makeup Monday! Every Monday we will have a new post on beauty whether it be a tutorial or review we will try our hardest to bring you guys something new every Monday.

Today I’m doing a mermaid themed look as we are beginning to dive into summer I thought that it was an appropriate and fun theme. If you would like to see how just keep scrolling if I’ve made anything difficult to understand please feel free to comment below and I would be more than happy to answer any questions. I will also have a product list at the bottom of the post. 🙂

Mer 20
First I’m starting out with just a matte white shade over my entire lid and a pale gold shimmer in the inner corner and the the inner part of the lid stopping halfway in.

Mer18
Now you want to take a pale green and put it on the outer half of the lid meeting the gold shade in the center and using a shader brush you just want to blend them together in the center to get rid of any harsh lines.

Mer16
Take a dark shade of green and using a crease brush the technique I use is dotting it up a little and then sweeping it over pushing into the crease as I’m making this motion and blending it out softening any harsh edges.

Mer13
This is what it should look like after you’ve done that you can add a bit more into the crease if you like just remember to blend it out.

Mer 11
Now I’m taking a pale gold glitter and just patting it all over my lid extending up to my brow bone.

Mer 9
Take a white eyeliner and line your lower water line. I also took a gold liquid liner and put it below the water line near the inner corner and pushed a dark gold glitter shadow on top.

ekfjlskdjkf
Take a black liquid liner and line your upper lash line making the line thinner towards the inner corner and extending a little past.

Mer 1
To create the wing I used a gel liner and brush making the line thick then getting lighter with your hand to make a sharp point going straight across.

mer 2
Right on top of that wing make a flick with your brush and create a second slightly smaller wing.

Mer 3
Now going almost halfway on your lower water line use the gel liner.

gjkfsjgslfd
All that’s left is add the mascara you can use any color you wish but I chose this pretty blue I felt it went well with the green.

Mer 8
I curled my hair just wrapping it around the curler to give it a more beachy look. My headband I made myself if you would like to know how I can post the link to the youtube tutorial to crochet it just ask 🙂 and my dress is Chelsea and Violet from dillards. One thing I forgot to put was I put a peachy shade right on my brow bone to high light. You also want to highlight your face on your cheekbones, chin, cupids bow and nose to give yourself a dewy glow. I hope you enjoyed this any comments or suggestions for future Makeup Monday posts please just comment below.
Mer 6
